Church Education Ministry

Holy Ascension has three classes : Class 1 (3-4 years old), Class 2 (5 - 6 years old) and Class 3 (7-8 years old). The classes meet every Sunday after Divine Liturgy. We ask parents to encourage their children to attend classes! It is a great way for them to learn about the Church and Orthodoxy!  The children are the future of our Church!

Visitation Ministry

A few women of Holy Ascension have developed a ministry of visiting our parishioners who are in nursing homes or are home bound. These women make visits on a regular basis. During the Nativity season, they give each of these parishioners a Christmas care basket. If there is someone who would like to be added to their visitation list, please contact  Vera Timko.
Women\'s Study Group

Our women's study group meets weekly at Larissa Holowaty's house. It provides a way to learn more about our Orthodox faith, and to put the Scriptures into concrete and practical terms. It also provides time for busy Orthodox women to affiliate with others seeking to explore and expand their understanding of what it means to be an Orthodox Christian and an Orthodox women, to live in the world, but not be "of" the world. Topics and activities are selected by the group. Presently, they are discussing the Orthodox Worship Services. All women of the parish are welcome. Bring a friend!
